My love of writing has always neatly complimented my great love of reading. From monthly book club discussions to book store browsing, my reading hobby takes up much of my free time. Here are some of my favorite reads.

To Kill A Mockingbird

Don Quixote

All Quiet on the Western Front

"To Kill a Mockingbird," Harper Lee   "Don Quixote," Miguel de Cervantes   "All Quiet on the Western Front," Erich Maria Remarque
A masterpiece full of legendary characters like Atticus Finch and Boo Radley. Narrator Scout will spark the imagination of any young girl developing a love of reading.   This accessible classic showcases Don Quixote, a great literary hero. A man who won't take no for an answer - from the fair maiden Dulcinea or the world - the brave knight is a model for us all.   Remarque captures the terrors of war so well I cringed and cried while reading his words. A wonderfully devastating portrait of World War I.

Set This House in Order

Lamb

Blindness

"Set This House in Order," Matt Ruff   "Lamb," Christopher Moore   "Blindness," Jose Saramago
Matt Ruff is one of today's greatest writers. Eclectic characters, both inside and outside the brain, allow Ruff to give a startling insight into multiple personality disorder.   "The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal," is a love letter of sorts to those of all faiths. Readers follow young Jesus on a touching and funny odyssey toward adulthood.   A Nobel Prize Winner for Literature, this book depicts a societal breakdown after an epidemic has struck the entire population blind. A great study of human kindness and depravity.
